Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Switch 2 [UPDATE] (eShop)

About This Game

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is an action-packed hack-and-slash adventure set in the ancient history of Hyrule. The game tells the story of the Imprisoning War, an event previously only briefly shown in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Players fight alongside Princess Zelda, King Rauru, Mineru, Sonia, and other heroes against the forces of Demon King Ganondorf.

Story

The story follows Princess Zelda, who finds herself in ancient Hyrule during the era of the Imprisoning War. She joins King Rauru and his allies as they attempt to defend the kingdom from Ganondorf’s invasion. The campaign expands on the events surrounding the founding of Hyrule and reveals the full story behind the war that shaped the events of Tears of the Kingdom.

Gameplay

The gameplay combines large-scale hack-and-slash combat with strategic battlefield objectives. Players can control different heroes, prepare their loadouts, fight huge groups of enemies, and battle powerful bosses. A major gameplay feature is Sync Strikes, where two allied characters combine their abilities for powerful attacks. The game also supports two-player co-op, including split-screen on one Switch 2 system and GameShare.
